The code is:

P0116-ECT Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

Make sure they clear the codes out after repairing the problem. There is a procedure for doing this. The codes do not clear automatically.

From reading about EFI machines, aside from finding the code meanings, there is a procedure for recalling and clearing them. One guy noted they don't clear out but are called "stored codes" once the problem is resolved. The procedures don't apply to either of my machines since they are not EFI. I am sure it is just a minor glitch since from what you implied it did not shut down the machine.

I didn't see Bob post yet so I'll let the cat out of the bag. They were able to find the problem and his quad is runninng great. I'll let him explain I'm just happy they fixed it and he is up and running. Bob and Lynda will be on the ride tomorrow.....

Like Den said Team Effort Cycle got my quad debugged and running, The problem was a loose fuse holder! The fuse to the fan was loose and was not making contact so the fan would not kick on and then the temp would rise and the P0116-ECT alarm came up. I can't say enough good things about the folks at Team Effort they worked like crazy to get me up and going! And thanks to Dennis he saw my truck at the dealer and he stopped in and kept me company.! So I'm all set for tomorrow, Lynda and I will be going but unfortunately I have to go into work for 1 or 2 hours tomorrow to get a project going but then we will be heading up to the O&W. I'll play catchup which shouldn't be too hard with my 1000 cc rocket! :utilrider: Just listen for Lynda yelling to slow down, slow down! :crybaby:

Glad to hear it was just a minor glitch, probably got loose being transported on the truck to the dealer. You should be fine now.

We will be stopping at the Arlo's trail spur to pick up Paul, so I am sure you can catch up to us.
