  1. I thought I had posted it but I didn't. I will be bringing applications for renewal to help save some postage. I will have stickers and cards ready. Mike
  2. I will have applications at the meeting so if you want to renew your membership it will save some postage. Mike
  3. An update, the cutoff date to sign up for the Christmas party has been extended to November 22nd. Mike
  4. I did post a gallery from the event, I checked it to make sure its public. Can everyone see it? Mike
  5. Youtube let it slip by, a few other videos I had to do an "audioswap" because they didn't allow the music track. Mike
  6. Finally had a chance to put the video together. The quality isn't great since I was using a beat up camera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNX2oH_lhcs Mike
  7. Yeah there is something about that "poker run mud" that makes it stick like glue. The mud around here is nowhere as bad to clean off. Must be all that coal dust that gets mixed in.
  8. Count me in for next year. Mike
  9. That will give us time to plan to help them next year since Joe indicated he could use help in several areas, not just leaders/tail. Well worth doing it, We did a good deed. Mike
  10. I might just blow the day off from work and go to SSRT. Provided I can get my quad back together tonight. Mike
  11. I would do it again next year as a leader. Corey hit it right about the trails being nasty but hey, thats what the weather threw at us with all that rain during the week. Main thing is they had good weather for the event. This has to be the nastiest cleanup I ever had to tackle after a ride. Decided to take some of the plastics off. The grass was just wrapped around the axles, A-arms, boots, name it. Still going to need a day or two to finish this up. My winch cable is also all wrapped wrong so Ill have to re-spool it after I get the mud out of it. Mike
  12. The "Getting stuck" was me, forgot about a workaround and BAM! I am trying to get out of it at the same time yelling "Go around!!" I had to make sure nobody was looking when I snuck into the car wash I gave up trying to clean it after 8 bucks. I think a sandblaster would work a bit better The funny part was the switchback at the shale pit, I was coming around and here is the tail of my group coming in. I could just see them all confused as I am riding down the trail they are coming up on. With some of the riders we had in our groups, sure made me appreciate OUR club rides Mike
  13. They had another banner day, weather included. Our group had about 5 side by sides and a little 90cc machine. The 90cc drowned in one of the creek crossings so the father just towed it along (and rode it across some tricky stuff) I wish I could have gotten a picture of that! After awhile of towing they got it fired back up and they completed the course. It was like the little engine that could. We had one outright breakdown, and two overheating quads. Near the end another one lost his brakes but still kept going (yikes!) I managed to get stuck in one spot requiring the winch. I spent about the same at the car wash and gave up. I have grass and hay wrapped in my axles. Looks like I have to take the plastics off to clean this mud & muck off. Pictures will be posted this afternoon. Mike
  14. Tom, hope your wife will be OK. Looks like we are in for a great day! Mike
  15. Rest stop at 5:00am, leaving at 5:30am. I would guess that gas station would be open since it would be around 6am when we pull off the exit. Mike
  16. Oh I bet its going to be muddy! Hopefully this wind didn't knock down any more trees. See ya all bright & early. Mike
  17. Got more rain coming in for Thursday->Friday. The weekend still looks good, so there will no doubt be tons of mud for the run. I have confidence in the Bighorns. Mike
  18. Bribed! I wish, I didn't get a chance to post it here (yet) sound familiar? Mike
  19. Its well marked now. Lots of arrows to point the way. I went through the re-routed section without missing anything. The only small turns in the woods I missed won't be an issue once it gets run, since the tracks will point the way. The part that changed is where we cross the road and head up into some pines. We now come out higher on the road instead of a direct crossing but i found it with no problem. We won't be going out until at least group 4 so the trails will be well worn in and clear to see by then. We only had a chance to run it once because they had a viewing to go to that afternoon. We will NOT be getting together next Saturday. After yesterday I am confident I can lead a group. Looks like we have 4 leaders from the club, You, Me, Ange, and Jerry. Dennis and Rob plan to tail one early on to see it again and perhaps lead a second round, if not they will probably tail with one of us. Mike
  20. Good ride today, broke into small groups so we all had a chance to lead the ride. There was a small change in the course but it was marked well so we are ready as can be. For those who are helping out next Sunday, we are meeting at the rest stop at 5:00am and leaving at 5:30am. Those who plan to ride the meeting place is the same at 7:00am, leave by 7:30am. Its up to those who are planning to ride if you want to move the time since registration will be starting at 7:00am this year. Mike
  21. Your not meeting us at the rest stop? We usually arrive at Joe's house around 9:00am. Mike
  22. There is a planned get together this Sunday (10-10-10) <- weird eh? Anyway same plan as usual, we will be meeting at the rest stop just north of the Fleetville exit off I-81 which is at Mile Point 202. We plan to meet around 8:00am and leave around 8:30am. Mike
  23. Michelle and I will be attending.
  24. Yesterday we ran the course and Corey and I got to lead parts of it to look for weak spots in markings. So additional ribbons and arrows were placed. After the ride Joe treated us to hamburgers and hot dogs before we rolled out. Next week the plan is to run the course as a group, stopping at all card stops and the mud pit to get the timing down. Then we will break up and go out in small groups with us in the lead (and having one of them behind us) Joe said if needed he can arrange for a get together the Saturday (16th) Mike
