  1. Kinda slow around here The lights on my quad kinda suck, I was looking into adding LED bars and even the LED lights the chef has, but rather then add on to the quad (and also burns more power) it would be better to replace the existing lights with HID. Found these kits on Ebay for $38 each. Two sets is enough to replace all four lights and will draw the same power as the existing lights. Will post the results, have to dry out one housing first, I already have an idea where to mount the ballasts. They are listed as fully waterproof so they should be ok for the quad. Mike
  2. We would like to welcome a new sponsor Pierson Upholstery from Pittston, PA. Mike
  3. There were 31 who attended the picnic. Weather was quite good and about 12 people arrived Thursday so we had a nice afternoon ride and a get together dinner buffet. Friday saw some rain but it was a light rain and stopped by the afternoon. There was also a night ride on Friday and it was so nice not having dust! Saturdays ride went well and Fran won the poker hand for $105. Art had the worst hand so he got his $5 back. Both the breakfast and dinner went well and everyone had plenty to eat. The raffle winners were Bob Nitch - ATV cover (door prize) Bob Nitch - bowl of bucks. John Giambra Jr - gift card Jerry Gruver - ATV winch Rob Gorczyk - Easy Up Six of us rode the morning Sunday before heading home. Another great picnic !
  4. Safe trip everyone and see you at the campground.
  5. We are heading out Thursday, possibly Wednesday if I can swing the extra day.
  6. Forgot option D "None of the above"
  7. Pretty much all year, each season has its nice offerings. From fresh snow to the fall colors.
  8. The 366 had an oil change, both got filter changes, new spark plugs, diff fluids changed. I also like to disconnect the battery and clean the terminals. Mike
  9. We would like to welcome Advanced Cycle Services as a renewing sponsor. This is the place where I purchased the Bighorn 2.0's that are now sported on the '366 Cat. Mike
  10. Michelle's quad is still original battery so I will see first hand how much it helps. Mike
  11. I did not use a tender at first and the battery in my quad was shot after 2 years. Now I use them. Mike
  12. If the machine has sat over the winter, also check intakes for mice nests. A battery tender is also a good idea to keep a battery in good condition.
  13. No answer for me, I am a Saturn owner X2.
  14. We would like to welcome Cube Auto as our newest club sponsor. Mike
  15. Going & going is right, last ride at SSRT I hit 8,500 miles, Michelle now has 2,850 on hers. She loves the '366 model
  16. I posted this originally on an Arctic Cat fourm. There is a website where you can download the complete schematics for the machine but the PDF file contains ALL of them including snowmobiles. I thought it would be useful to post this guide because it can apply to other machines and for other uses. (such as maps) The website listed (K&T Parts house) has complete service manuals and schematics for Arctic Cats. Other brands probably can get a PDF of their service manuals as well and schematics. I found printing out the schematic on a single page made it too small so I found a way to print it on four pages and splice them together to make a nice printout. This uses all free software (best kind) So enjoy! The website that has the schematics located here. "K&T Parts House Lawn Mower Parts and Chain Saw & Trimmer Parts" The file is large and includes a whole slew of schematics, the question is how to extract out the one you need and print it? The diagrams don't print well on a regular sheet of paper due to their size so here is a procedure to get the diagram you need and make a nice print. This will be with utilities you can get for free (the best kind After downloading the large PDF of the schematics, go to this website here... Tracker Software Products :: PDF-XChange Viewer, Free PDF Reader Download pdf-xchange (its free) Open the pdf file with this program. by clicking on the selections you can get to the exact schematic you need. Once its displayed do this: File -> Export -> Export to Image Select "Current page" , Image type "JPEG", choose your folder to drop the image, give it a name like "2006 400 auto" set page zoom to 100% and resolution to 300 or 400 dpi Then click export. You will now have a JPG of the page. Next step is to go to this website... posteriza.com - Home Download the program (free) What this will do is allow you to tke this large JPG and break it up onto several pages. I use 4 for the schematics. Its pretty easy to follow and I print them without a border. Print them out and use an old fashioned "cut & tape" and you will now have a nice large printout of your schematic. Mike
  17. There is still the possibility of a "call off day"
  18. SSRT has the most riding and is my favorite place to ride, but because of distance I only get down there a few times per year. Mostly where I ride is NWORC, or locally because it is close. Mike
  19. Glad to see you on the site. Mike Guzzi Secretary
  20. This is for you Dennis and Bob: The first picture is a 2 wire trailer connector, you can buy this at any auto parts store. This is what is used to connect to the accessory plugs so you do not have to splice any wires. Second picture is where the winch's solenoid will mount. Arctic Cats provide a location to bolt the solenoid and it is probably in a similar area on your machines. Third picture is the '366 showing the front accessory power port. I have and warmers and the winch's low current point connected here. Deluxe hand warmers will come with the connectors already attached and two of them so you can daisy chain another accessory. In this case I have it terminated with the winch control wire. Fourth picture is the rear accessory power port. Same connector, same fuse. and both are set to shut off with the key (not always on power) It is capped to prevent corrosion. Fifth picture is what I made to connect a battery tender. Dennis you mentioned seeing this plug near here and it was also switched with the key, that is for the passenger hand warmer kit. You cannot use it for a battery tender. You will have to make one of these connected to the battery to make it easy to hook up a tender. BTW: typically stock Arctic Cat batteries suck, I only got two years out of mine, but if you use a tender, you should get better life out of it then I did. Sixth picture is showing the winch's solenoid connected to the frame looking from the other side. You should see two holes for screws to connect the relay here. Hope this helps Mike
  21. Despite running out of napkins and plates (thanks to the social club for providing some) the food was great! Not much leftover, but everyone seemed to have plenty to eat. Gallery posted. Mike
