Welcome To The ValleyATVClub.org

Group pic

Welcome, On behalf of the staff and colleagues at the Valley ATV Club Inc., I would like to welcome you to our web page, thank you for your interest, and wish you every success here, and with any personal challenges that may happen upon you.

Our club is based in Northeastern Pennsylvania, and is a family orientated, fun loving group. As a club, we have a monthly ride (weather permitting) usually on the third Sunday of each month as well as several smaller group breakaway rides periodically. Travel times to our rides varies from as little 30 minutes to 2+ hours to central PA locations. Some of the longer trips often turn into overnighters with 1 1/2 to 2 days of riding. We try to keep a good mix of travel as well as free areas versus pay to ride locations. These policies enable our members to see a diverse mix of challenges with a variety of terrains and landscapes.

Some of the major issues on our agenda include improving the public image and awareness of ATVing, and also promoting safety. We are involved with the legislative issues, protecting environmental concerns, and the development of new and legal riding areas in our part of the state.

Our monthly meetings are held the first Monday of each month at 7:00pm at the West Side Social Club, 711 McAlpine St. Avoca, PA 18614. We hope that your experience will be challenging, enjoyable, and rewarding. Again, Welcome! Sincerely, Dennis Kuenze - President

 2007/2008 Club Sponsors

I feel that our club sponsors kind of get pushed in the background sometimes so I thought it would be nice to bring them forward. The club sponsors are a great asset to us as they not only help in bringing new members to the club, but also are there for us when we may need a little help. With that in mind here is a list of the Club's sponsors for 2007/2008. If there are any missing from here please notify someone.

 Change of Seasons

AnnouncesEven though it may not seem like it at this point; spring has sprung and State Forest trails are now closed until Memorial Day. Luckily, with some new riding areas popping up here and there we can continue to get out and enjoy this cold weather. Hopefully the warmer stuff will be showing its face soon and 10 layers of clothing won't be required to go out. I think most of us are looking forward to the warm weather and some good mud pits being created. For those of you who are new to this site we welcome you to browse around. We have a lot of good pictures in our gallery from rides of the years and all sorts of chat and other information on our forums. Go and check those areas out and you can get an idea of who we are and what we are about or even come check out a meeting if you feel up to it. I just thought I would write a little something to update our page and you're all welcome to submit your own story, information, or most anything you want to be viewed in this location.

 Happy Holidays

NewsHello Everyone! Another year, 2006, is coming to its end and with that we would like to say Happy Holidays to everyone out there. For your reading pleasure he is a short overview of 2006 in the eyes of the Valley ATV Club

We had a pretty low key year filled with riding all over the place at some of our favorite areas and even some new ones. We made out yearly late winter ride out to Sproul State Forest with a little change up from our usual lodging that seemed to be an interesting experience for those involved. By the time the year concludes the club will have made 3 trips out to SSRT rides and so far each proved to be fun, wet, and full of great food. Hopefully the final trip out will be with good weather. We've had scares with riding being taken away at Tug Hill, but it appears that hopefully some is back on track to open.

Our annual club picnic was hosted at Majestic Kamp & Lost Trails. They put on a great weekend of food and riding for us and we thank them for their efforts; except for the rain part(we can live without that next time.)

It seems that Poker Runs are the new way to go as the year has been filled with them. They usually offer us good riding, food, and a way to support a good cause. Hopefully they will grow in numbers and we can continue to attend for legal riding. We also found a great new place to ride in Canada. Its a drive, but its worth it for a long weekend with lots of seat time. Another trip is already in the works for 2007.

This is just a run down of what happened, but hopefully the rest of the memories will be with you forever. See you all soon and ride safe.

 State Forests Now Open

Announces
Some of Pennsylvania's State Forests are now open for winter riding. They opened on December 10th and should be open until April 1 2007. Its best to call up and check to make sure the particular place you're going to ride is open instead of finding out when it is too late. You can get information on all of PA's State Forest at the Department of Conservation and National Resources' website. Once they close in April they will be off limits until Memorial Day weekend.
